    ... border. It was the first weekend away from Tirana and it was a beautiful (but dangerous) drive along the mountains to the lake. Thankfully the minivan driver was safe enough and didn't allow people to smoke on the van, whereas the drive back to Tirana was with a maniac driver who halved the time to get back!

    ... traditional architecture. Red bricks in combination with reddish rocks, this place, with its people and springs of pure mountain water, sure had character.

    ... highways. It never got invited to the best parties. A gentle, sixteen-year-old boy in Greece was the only Albunny I'd ever met. My only inspiration for going there was "tiagorelvao" on, a hitchhiker who wrote of the Albundi's: "Pessoas 5 estrelas" (5-star people).
