    ... delightful and we ate until we could no longer fit any more. After this we headed to Raffles Hotel, world famous for its Singapore sling cocktails. The cocktails were nice really sweet and strong though. We also felt very underdressed as we were both wearing what we had previously throughout our trip through Indonesia!     ... Restaurants and apartments, as well as hotels, line the river and you could probably find every imaginable type of food to muuch on....... except McDonalds. Weather has been warm but threats of rain have punctuated the days.
    Our room is spacious and allows me to look out on the view in one of the photos, while Helen naps behind me. Swimming yesterday was a great way to cool off before a relaxing evening. ...

    ... and was added to over the years, very colonial. It is no longer near the beach as again over the years the sea has been reclaimed and the hotel is now surrounded by very up market sky scrapers! We wandered around the hotel for a couple of hours enjoying all the shops and architecture ( Dave wasn't interested in the shops! But I liked em ) there was a lovely little bakery which was not unlike a typical English tea shop, we had a lovely caesar salad and cheesecake ...

    Today has been a day of checking out the city and being blown away by pretty much everything... This city is so awesome!
