Today is the start of our Europe adventure by car. We arrived in Ingolstadt at 0630 on Sunday 01 June, after travelling from Perth via Singapore to Munich. We are staying at the Enso Hotel tonight. We have had a pleasant walk through the Old Town of Ingolstadt. Monday 02 June, we visited Audi Forum to collect our car. A massive set up. We arrived at 0930 and already that morning 103 ...

Day 6: Nordlingen to Rain

A travel blog entry by jimboandsusan

Distance: 67km Cumulative distance: 289km Steepest hill: quite steep Gear failure: None! Body failure: ITB very sore, riding with one leg (Jimbo you're crazy!) Weather: Cloudy, windy and cold, but sun came out later Best Convenience: Nothing convenient, most things shut on Saturday, or just open half days. Rain only has GPRS coverage, (no 3G), but perhaps that is more of an issue with Vodafone... It was difficult to get out of bed this morning, possibly due to ...

A travel blog entry by suehawes

... army.

Third stop - lunch and beer

Fourth stop - a visit to the old house and Frau Z. A neighbour of my grandparents that is still alive at 93 - soon to be 94. She still remembers me from when I was little. We had a nice time with her.

We had a quick stop at my grandparents grave..........

A great day and lots of nice memories.......home time guessed it - more food and beer.

A wet trip into Salzburg, Austria

Not a good idea. the day was very wet and Salzburg was very busy with very narrow streets, So for me the driving was rather stressful - which is saying something. So we just hot footed vack through Munich and onto ...

Baroque Church in Eichstatt

A travel blog entry by alexvarelas

Hi Everyone,We went to a great village, called Eichstatt. We ate pretzels at a bakery and they were yummy. I also got an ice-cream

We saw a Baroque style church. Inside the church were the tombs of old priests and bishops and a big organ.

The streets were all cobble stoned, and were very clean. We threw money into a fountain and made a wish....I wished for McDonalds!!! But got a pretzel.
