We travelled from Chamonix to Annecy, which is a very pretty holiday destination, with lots of holiday makers swimming, boating, playing in the park & shopping. The parks we have seen are beautifully kept this one had several small vegetable gardens & lots of large pots of flowering plants. We arrived driving around a large lake (it is about 40kms) through an avenue ...

We headed out on a walk of the town, which was actually very short, and very small! Nice place though!

Then we jumped on the coach to go to the Chocolate Shop! WOW! This place was incredible and was a chocolate lovers dream! (i.e. not too much for me and dad... but I think mom liked it! And we ALL know Aunt Melissa liked it... how much chocolate did you buy? Your sack felt like a bowling ball ...

... 1 night in Noyers, 2 hours drive then we have 3 nights in Reims (Champagne area). It was pretty good but the rain meant day 1's drive was more like 5 hours....but the hotel in La Mure was fab. Only 2 or 3 stars (depending what you read) but good internet, comfy bed and sensational shower. I should have also told all my readers that we have had an unforeseen technical hitch...my beloved Nikon S9500 has failed. When ...

Day 12 - I think it's time for a ride

... was I glad to see the road level out and drop just as I came into that town. The TdF finishes here on Friday and already there are 9 or 10 motorhomes lined up on both sides of the road just before the town. It was a pleasure today to ride without persistent rain and a chilly wind. With the sun out I might even get a bit of colour onto my legs and arms.

Arrived back at Le Patricia at 3:30 so I was out on the road for 4 hours. ...
