The room smelt horrible & the bed was so hard. The linen was old patterned & so was the furniture. There was air con though and the bathroom was up to date. The whole room was clean too. The location was a taxi ride outside Downtown Cancun but located outside the ferry terminal across to Isla Mujeres.

... I'd found it, I finished packing my backpack, and headed down stairs. My bag basically consisted of my SLR camera, my GoPro, my broncos towel and some sunscreen. Sunscreen I'd already applied as I was wearing a singlet. I pump out the front doors of the hotel and, saying no to a cab, cross the street to the bus stop. I take a couple if pics here. Just cause I can. I jump on the public bus and head to town. I get off at the club district and, have a quick look at ...

... get dark the men decided to build a fire. It was quite windy and they were dousing the wood with lighter fluid and it still wouldn't start until.... I took over. Even Mike was impressed. Not being an outdoors type (as you all know) I just put into practice what I have seen on t.v, but they didn't say anything about blowing on the embers and not breathing in at the same time! A mouth full of smoke is gross! Once the fire was ...

Although we were both very tired we decided that while we were here we should take a look at the beach so just walked through the lobby of the nearest hotel trying to look like we knew where we were going so never hesitating, past all the pool goers and onto the beach which was admittedly beautiful- such ...

... was the song we have heard a lot and has become our Mexico travel song called Yo no se manana. Once on the island we hired a golf cart to get around the island, it was 500 pesos for the day, the first cart we got wouldn't work so we switched and away we went. It was pretty funny getting around in a golf cart, heaps of other people were doing the same, they don't go real fast but it's still awesome fun, getting used to being on the wrong side of the road took a while. The ...
