... following the tram line. It was Sunday, so none of the shops were open. We ended up back at the market and bought some bread, tomatoes and avocado of lunch. In the late afternoon, we wandered around and found a little bar to have a drink at. We sat in the sun, enjoying a couple of beers and a delicious cheese platter with Rochford, Camembert and goats ...
... For entree, she was attracted to the dish with the poached egg, unfortunately, she blocked out the other elements of the dish and was disappointed to find that it included some sort of fish filled jelly (aka cat food) and pippies. She did really well to eat as much of it as she did. For main she had a beautiful piece of fish cooked in a herb butter sauce. For dessert she had an almond tart, but was too full to really enjoy ...
... not much to see but it is a convenient stopping place. Found the fishmongers and picked up a lobster for dinner.
Next day wandered back into town and completed a bit more provisioning including buying another lobster, crab claws, languastines and oysters. Much much cheaper than eating out in the restaurants. We're leaving that for dishes we don't normally eat or cook.
We left Morlaix taking the afternoon HW lock and headed south west past Roscoff where we anchored in a very pleasant bay.
The following morning we left quite early and headed for our next destination, L'Aber Vrac'h.
Sailed most of the way which was nice but there was a bit of swell which made the sail hard work, but nevertheless our sailing to motoring ratio is improving.
We wanted to anchor in the river leading to L'Aber Vrac'h rather than use the marina ...
I got to try out my new kayak, and we spent our time relaxing and even, briefly, sunbathing.
We got up bright and early this morning to a grey sky, but the air was still quite warm. We had to motor all the way down the river as there was almost no wind at all, but the sun broke through at times and we were soon stripping off some of our (many) layers of clothing.
