        After breakfast left the Ibis Hotel and drove up the coast to Trebeuren a small seaside resort then down the coast passing through lots of little seaside towns with lovely big beaches. Locquirec is a particularly nice small seaside resort.         ... weather. It was actually on the cool side and the water was cold. The wind was also light so it was good that Brian had his 15 meter Flysurfer.

        I was just content to sit on the beach and watch the changing tide. As the water receded, I would walk out and marvel at mother nature's power.

        Once we arrived in Brest, we spent most of our time locating kite shops, gathering intel on kite locations, doing laundry and eating breakfast. We ended up staying in Brest for a week but in truth, we only really used it as a base. The town itself is quite nice but the Northern coast is truly breathtaking and it didn't take much prodding to get me to spend most of our time there.

        I went down to rest and David took the watch through to the early hours he saw the French lights at about 10.30pm so only 12 hours after leaving Falmouth we were sailing well and we were at the top of the Chenal du four a little early so tide was against us slowing us up, but soon we got the tide with us and flew down which was fantastic with the sun rising.
