... who had not woken up on the right side of the bed and was a little grumpy. While waiting for the 10:30 tour we went and looked through the Kings mint and coins. Heading back to the tour we went around different aspects of the tower including the chapel and several courtyards. The tour was fantastic, it was informative while also being quite humorous. The Yeoman was a great guide telling scary stories and making all laugh. To be a Yeoman you have to have spent 22 years ...
We walked around small alley ways with the beautiful French decor and buildings admiring what we were seeing around each corner. It does remind us of a mini version of Paris.
As it is a bank holiday in France, the streets were quiet and most of the shops closed, much to Sophie's disappointment. We did find an indoor market with a few stalls opened and bought a baguette, ham, olives, quiche, tabouli for lunch then ...
... but will be thriving
holiday place in Summer. We look forward
to taking the kids out one night to enjoy a picnic on the beach and play a bit
of beach volleyball.
Tuesday 24th – another quiet day, supermarket
shopping and a walk and we had smoke detectors put into the house by Sophie’s
husband. Law has just been passed that
you need to have smoke detectors in homes.

... At this point Neville had had enough of getting the bread every morning so the job fell on my shoulders if I wanted to eat that morning. In Europe or at least France, Croatia and Spain breakfast is a non event with a cup of strong coffee your lot. I guess they all go down to the bread shop and buy a loaf or two and take it home and attack it in private because we looked but could not find a breakfast place anywhere.

... tan, I went into the water, the waves were more pronounced than in Spain, the sand better, which was fine, but it did stick to you, it was so fine. Take a look thru google it's realIt's slkdflkdsljlsjly nice, we had to pay 4 euros for access to the beach, weather was like 35, today it's 31, it's been pretty much consistant thru out our time here, very hot for this time of year, so I'm told.
