After breakfast left the Ibis Hotel and drove up the coast to Trebeuren a small seaside resort then down the coast passing through lots of little seaside towns with lovely big beaches. Locquirec is a particularly nice small seaside resort. Had the best coffee since leaving home at a little seaside village called Michel Le Greve then continued driving along seaside villages with a large expanse of beach. As we left the center of town, we could see the kites flying above the dunes. That got Brian very excited and he quickly got ready to kite.

The beach is beautiful with a long expanse of soft sand. When we arrived, there was a huge, shallow, flat water spot filled with newbie kiters. It looked like it wasn't more than waist deep. Surrounding the flats were large rocky islands and more stretches ...

Brest - really just our base (short)

Once we arrived in Brest, we spent most of our time locating kite shops, gathering intel on kite locations, doing laundry and eating breakfast. We ended up staying in Brest for a week but in truth, we only really used it as a base. The town itself is quite nice but the Northern coast is truly breathtaking and it didn't take much prodding to get me to spend most of our time there.
