    This was the longest leg of the trip at 330 km.
    It did not get off to a good start as we knew better than TT and had checked, double and triple discussed but still ended up with “Turn around when possible” repeated over and over until we just had to obey.
    Still haven't worked out why but lost an hour until we were back on the right road and direction. There was a stretch of motorway towards Sisteron (came by on the route down) which, as ever was a welcome ...

    ... sure had tastings. Burgundy had lots of Pinot Noirs and some C******nay, and we bought a bottle of each. We headed home, tired and a bit rainy, but we've probably had 2-3 rainy days in the 40 or so days that have passed. We tucked into another French classic beuf bourguignon which we hope wasn't horse, but im pretty sure was beuf (only French people appeared to eat here, and we thought they wouldn't have time to slow cook horse for tourists).     ... had ever had at a workaway!!!!!! We helped to refill all the potholes in their drive, which involved shovelling and wheelbarrowing a few tonnes of gravel (we’d had plenty of practice in this department), and then we set to work on the garden which needed a serious pruning.     ... ridiculous, perhaps the comercants are waiting in hope for rich Arabs, Americans or Russian oligarchs or more likely they are in fools paradise. In Foix, a very attractive medieval fortified town on the French side of the Pyrenees, a cafe owner bemoans the French economy and politicians yet charges double the price of her counterpart across the border in Spain.
