... bos rond de boerderij op donderdag- en zondagochtend. Iemand een gokje hoe lang ik dat laatste ga volhouden? Het zal wel nodig zijn, want het eten is nog lekkerder dan het al was. Als ik mijn portie beweging per week dan moet halen uit het achter twee éénjarigen aanhollen of het schoonmaken van een hotelkamer, kunnen ze me binnenkort de oprijlaan afrollen. Misschien nog niet zo slecht dat die terrasjes niet in de buurt liggen.

Bonjour, Ecolonie, met Liesbet!
... van met pijn te denken aan wat er was, nog zou kunnen komen of nu niet is. Me gelukkig voelen mag ik niet laten afhangen van de plaats waar ik ben of de mensen om me heen,dat zal ik uit mezelf moeten halen. Ik heb jaren gestudeerd, maar misschien is dit wel de grootste les die ik tot nu toe al geleerd heb. Of aan het leren ben, want ik ben er natuurlijk nog lang niet… en maar goed ook. Er is hier genoeg leerstof te vinden.

Homestay number 1!!
... have a day job and a time consuming 'hobby' - Horses!
beyond that they visit the supermarket infrequently for basics - butter, cheese, flour etc. But Sarah makes her own soap, pasta and bread. They even have a compost toilet (which i am still not used to!!!!) anyway.. thats another story that is not to be printed here! ( see photo) I still keep looking for the flush. ahem.
I have also learnt how to make Sarahs bread and the soap. Sarah has nicknamed me her 'bread ...

a 3 hour train ride and we arrive at our destination Fresnoy en Bassigny and meet the couple we will spend the next 2 weeks with.. they are pleasant and welcoming. Dominique collects us in the van and he talks with Michael in french (which is better than i thought so I'm happy) and i sit there like a plonka and learn 'oui' yes as a start. Michael carries on chatting but says 'sim' instead....
dinner and bed me thinks....'sim' LOL. night.

Put the world on hold
... in to Christine’s Volkswagen Caddy to go to the winery, with 5 of us sitting on hay bales in the back! It was a great time, we all sat at a table and tasted a bunch of wines including whites, reds, sparkling white and sparkling rosé. The winery we went to was in the Champagne region and produces sparkling wines in the traditional style of the region but because they have not paid to be regulated under the "Champagne Domain Origin Control" they are ...
