When we sailed from Budapest, we boarded the ship Mimir not our booked ship the Vili which could not make it downstream to Budapest. The area is in a draught period and the river level between Regensburg and Nuremberg is too low for the ships to navigate. ... Being on the edge of the Germany street directory, there weren't many options as to driving north to Passau. But Steffie wanted to put in a few personal stops, so the day become a Steffie Day. I don't mean that in a bad way, after all she organised the whole trip anyway!

Watched several people in canoes go down this river, there was a type of weir at edge & several people fell out, walked up to the castle stopping at the old draw bridge as it is now a home for a few brown bears & one came out to play, the village is on 2 banks of the river, streets are narrow & cobbled, lovely to see.
