... Austria with floods and snow causing transport chaos so we cannot complain. Today we tested out Mary's boots and walked the 4 km to Millstatt to access the wifi in a cafe where we had lovely goulash soup for lunch. Much to his delight it was no regular croissant but a hazelnut chocolate croissant! I had fruit...After breakfast we packed up and headed to the train station. We had time to kill so I went to look for a post office to ship our Oktoberfest outfits home as we are not sure if they will be in style anywhere else on our journey. ...

To set the scene, we have included a few photos from last year's trip.
Cycled east from the campsite, in Obervellach, to the
nearby lake, Pressegger See, then on to Gortschach and Vorderberg. Looked at
the Naturbad at Vorderberg and then cycled back Moderndorf and Hermagor where
we had a well earned “triple scoop” of ice cream each at the Patisserie/café in
the town centre. Quite a long ride in all. Both tired.
Last days in Seeboden / Austria
After some on and off rainy days/weeks, I took the opportunity and did a last round trip on Lake Millstaetter See because the summer season will be over on 7 September 2014.
