... sink. The other main use is for tourist boats and house boats. The canals are said to be three metres deep –
one metre water, one metre mud and one metre bicycles. There are thousands of bicycles in Amsterdam and they have at least one huge parking building for them. You have to watch

Bye bye Amsterdam. Out the door just after 7am this morning, we knew where to go this time so we'd only be carting our luggage a 7min walk to the train station not roaming the streets for an hour haha. The bartender lady gave us a good deal for sampling some of the beers and in total I ...

I spent the night at GJ's, but so many early mornings had trained me to get up at stupid o'clock. By 6am I was wide awake and if I'd been asked to walk 25 miles, I would have had the energy, but not the legs. I could hardly wedge my swollen feet into my trainers. I sat with my feet up on GJ's couch and we talked for hours about everything, from GJ's new job to the state of the farcical high-speed railway to Belgium. It was good to catch up.
