French, and a Latin derivative). And with the exception of cheese and fondue, they've essentially co-opted those countries' cuisines and architectural styles as well. It's beautiful, but not distinctive. (also, they REALLY love cheese; 50% of their milk production goes to make ...

... Even restaurant. But we still got into a riverside cafe and had some light meal. I ordered Thai pasta, which was too spicy for me. FOrtunately my friend ordered the other one just for variety (we both hesitated on which one to order, so we ordered both). The other one, polenta, SW porridge, was good (a little too saulty due to cheese). Since I don't eat spicy dishes, my friend exchanged with me. Having a travelmate has many advantages!

... in a little town called Lauterbrunnen. We went on a lift that took us up into the mountains. From here we could see other little towns and houses all over the mountains and their waterfalls. At the bottom of the lift the elevation was 2,624 ft and at the top it was 4,875, so it got pretty high! It reminded me of the London eye but it was higher and it was going up and not around. After the lift we stopped for dinner at a ...
