... is just stunning almost looks like the Taj Mahal. There were a whole lot of buskers one hilarious Miming guy so we watched him for a while then brought a couple of ice cold beers off some locals and sat and watched an amazing guy who spins and performs with a football while on top of a pillar then he climbed up the light post and didn't drop the ball once was so cool!

We stopped at the Moulin Rouge to take a couple of pictures because it was all sold ...

... 2 months in advance. This is THE hot spot in Paris with celebrities like Gwenyth Paltrow waxing poetic about the modern French cuisine. Its so well-known by the locals that the restaurant doesn't even have a sign on the outside! Sparkling, seasonal ingredients cooked with imagination were served in a 5-course tasting menu. The first course of raw mackerl was not our favorite as mackerel is a very fishy fish & kinda slimy when raw but the other courses lived up to the hype! ...

... it is, if it could be decorated, it was. A lot of effort was put into this building and it was lovely to see that it is still in use. After the opera house we went to see the dome at the Galeries Lafayette. It was really rather impressive as stained glass windows go. We had to struggle at bit to get in as it is a department store and was very busy. Their christmas display is apparently very popular and its right under the dome so it was quite packed. We then started to walk home. ...

... It is hard to avoid them, however when the cops turn up, they run. The next day we went to Francis Xavier Train station and Church, and headed to the Loueve. While the Loueve was not too busy, we needed days to see it all so we focused on the Mona Lisa, and the Egyptian exhibits. In the afternoon we tried to relax around our hotel, did some shopping, and had a relaxing dinner. A few brave lads headed to a pub to watch Top 14 Rugby. It was cool watching Top 14 Rugby in ...

... last year and found our hotel on foot. We had read we had to check in between 4 and 6 and we realized why as we had to wheel all our luggage through the restaurant tables. And We had been worried no-one would be there if we were late! Annecy was packed but luckily our hotel was right at the end of the tourist area along the main canal. Our room was basic but clean and light. We said that we would eat dinner at the hotel, whose dining ...
