... up we always referred to ourselves as water babies! On arrival we had no clue where to go. I suggested we walk randomly and see what we find- to our surprise our little hotel was 2 minutes down the street- this travelling thing is too easy for us hah! Dumb luck I guess! The afternoon was spent on the island of Burano where we enjoyed a beautiful seafood lunch. We explored the village which is different to the mainland. It is much quieter and the houses are multi colored which is what the island is famous for along with their lace. It is the island of the fishermen. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the day and Venice. ... mediocre and when we got the bill we assumed they must have made a mistake. It turned out, the house wine they had suggested, was in fact 18Euros for half a bottle. It was such a stupid mistake for us to make, but everything else on the trip had been so reasonably priced, we didn't think to ask before accepting it. I was incensed. We slept great last night. Went to sleep by 9:30 and slept until 6:00, so hopefully our bodies are adjusting to the time change. We had a nice breakfast here at La Chicca, consisting of capaccino, pastries, cereals, yogurt and juices. We had a nice conversation with Massimo, the owner.
