... in a small out of the way osteria. Met some brothers and sisters as they manned a literature cart in one of the squares. Shopped.

And now we begin the packing, as tomorrow morning we are on our way. It's been a great trip. I will not try to sum up everything now, because I don't think I really can. We all agreed today that we got everything we wanted out of this adventure and we are now ready to come home.

          Thanks for tuning ...

          Florence to Venice

Today we packed and left the hotel by taxi on the way to the train station. The taxi ripped us off charging way more than the first one did. *******. We got on the train 1st class. Woo hoo. It was quite fancy. I think it was cheaper in First class and not overly expensive either. We chilled on the train watching a movie until the train took us out to the island of Venice. We got off the train into the station and walked outside ...

Passing through the lakes district, in southern Austria the view turns decidedly colourful. The Rialto Market was up at the top of my lists for places to visit, as I had read it had the highest concentration of fish vendors in the city, including produce as well. I arrived around 6:30am one morning as they were still setting up to begin at 7am. Wandering around, I was able to get right up close to the huge piles of ice that the men were slamming onto the tables, covering with decorative lettuce and then all of their ...

... feels like these days; home. We were definitely all a little homesick this last week, but we have such a short amount of time left in Rome that everything is bittersweet right now. We are excited for several reasons to go home, but we are not ready to leave this city. I know I am really going to miss the girls I live with and a lot of people on this trip. Friday is going to be a tough day for everyone, but I know I will be happy to get home after a long day of travelling on Saturday.
