We are up and off early from Icici for a ride down the spectacular Istrian coast. No breakfast at the camping ground so we are on the lookout for a likely cafe. And we soon find it. We look down from the outside balcony at the quite stunning, unspoilt Adriatic coastline as we get to grips with big ham and cheese toasties washed down with black tea.

Really slacking on my entries. I feel so tired and exhausted most days and can't work up the willpower! After leaving Zadar, I went onto a town called Motovun for three days. ... showing the age and some history. This only opened 10 days ago so the guides were very new on the job. The cave has 2 natural chimneys and is only about 56 metres long. Burial mounds have been found here and also remains of fires and food storage areas. Now for the trek down the steps. Easier than going up. Once down we cross the river on a small bridge and walk back down the other side. Its a very pretty walk and worth the ...

... and chips, served with raw onion. We didn’t realise we would get about 15 sausages each so the basket of bread and bucket of soup we had to start had already finished us off! We still managed to wash it down and finish it off with a pint. After a laboured walk back to the hostel to settle down for the night we spent the night playing cards and being beat by a South Korean girl in our hostel who had supposedly never played ...
