Last day had perfect weather. We went to an ancient theater with the casual Volcano as the background scenery. Mt. Etna was huge and beautiful. Clouds covered it up and I got a quick glimpse of it. An overall amazing weekend and I was sad to leave. Definitely want to go back to Sicily some ...

... its own thing. All humans - thrilled, smashed and bewildered by the majestic forces, feeling small, insignificant and strangely at peace with all that is. She looked at the stars, than again at the red rivers of lava and realized - everything is as it should be! Sealing the memory of that amazing experience, she told me this story on a sunny summer morning over a cup of coffee. Thank you, ...

We finally made it to Taormina after a missed connection in Brussels. A flight to Munich without much time to spare earned us our own special escort in an official white van to the next plane--we didn't even have to step foot in the terminal.. Lufthansa must have high customer service expectations and they sure delivered. Unfortunately our luggage stayed in Brussels. Tomorrow we will be touring Mr Etna in our travel ...
