Came out of the apartment today and saw the funniest thing...a city worker walking along our path with a spray bottle of rose water and he was watering all the places where a dog had peed! At least, I hope it was dogs! I have to admit, it did smell better. I have seen him every morning since then. ... Perfect. It was a two and a half hour easy drive to Nice. Nowhere near as much traffic on the roads as when we headed south from Lyon. Note to self, don't drive on Saturdays, especially on long weekends. The 130km speed limit was a breeze (literally) and other drivers much better behaved. We arrive safely back to the ship after a great day out with Catherine who was very welcoming and has a daughter aged 16 and said that should our Abbey venture to France ( well the south of France) she was more than welcome to come and stay with Catherine.
