... buckets of water from the tiled floors upstairs and the garden now has herbs, tomatoes, aubergine and a calabacin alongside the neatly tied up and weeded habbas. It felt wonderful to select and plant veg from the market last Saturday, but Seb was cautious not to plant too much as water becomes scarce here in the summer. I strolled round town yesterday....quietly enjoying exploring. It's very different ...

Her mayday was answered by a commercial vessel heading for Le Havre who offered shelter and welded the tiller, allowing Patna some chance of completing her voyage. She survived 11 storms and on arrival at the Scilly Isles, Fred, ...

... walkways....so much stone and amazing ancient olives twisted by age or rage. Other walkers, the few that I met, all seemed to be heading to or coming from Fonalutx, so I located this on the map and set forth up the Camino de sa Figueres and up behind the Puig De Balitx. The walk was stunning...unfolding from the terrace steeps to pine woods and cliff walled shady hollows. I hardly met anyone and emerged at the romantic little town. It's idyllic. Warm ...
