After leaving the Piedmont region of Italy, and before heading back to Geneva for the airport, we made a quick two-day stop in the beautiful French alpine town of Chamonix. Woke up to sunshine and an urge to do some exercise. As
usual my travel agent had everything planned and after breakfast we set off on
our bikes to visit the Georges du Trient. This is a beautiful gorge that is
situated on a river that has cut the gorge over 200 meters into the rock. The
cliff faces have been equipped with walkways that allow a visitor to access
