We only had one show today at 2pm since it's a holiday and I guess the assumption is that families have plans later on in the day. No fireworks scheduled (someone said they're illegal in MA so I don't know if that's across the board or only for individuals) so the circus is buying us pizza and beer/soda for everyone to enjoy after the show.

We didn't have a sponsor in Spencer and we were scheduled here for two days, which made us all a bit nervous, but we set up shop next to their fairgrounds where a carnival had their rides set up. After driving most of the way in the rain, yesterday we arrived at Hinsdale, New Hampshire, just across the river from Vermont.

Today, we drove over to Jacksonville, VT to the Honora Winery and Vineyard tasting room. They produce a collection of several nice whites, one regional dry red, and three reds from fruit grown in California. The regional red was not too bad, and the other reds were very good. ... Elijah to go to sleep prior to arriving because he was so fired up (and insistent) to see the Welcome to Massachusetts sign. Finally, around 10:45pm he fell asleep but we pulled over at the sign a little over midnight and I roused him to look out the window and see it. He said, "I'm alive!" and promptly fell back into a deep sleep.
