The birds here in particular are just breathtaking and of course the monkeys, with their little faces and mannerisms that look so much like a humans are so cute.

          4. So far I'm not loving the food. I'm sure if you went to fancy restaurants you could ...

As I walked back up the dune, I heard a shreek of excitement from Tash as she left the precipice of the dune and began yet another careening descent, like a fearless child who'd eaten too much jelly and ice-cream. As she drew level with ...

... meat, mixed with some onions, topped off with a raw egg on top. Anyone that knows me, knows that I like my meat well done, preferably no blood. The thought of raw mince churned my stomach. But being diplomatic, not least polite I decided to give it a go but had concocted a back-up story just in case. Thankfully I didn’t have to us that. It tasted ok. After dinner, Angelo arrived, having flown in from Sao Paulo (where he lives) for the weekend.

... It was a little difficult because of the chop and swell coming through. I got thrown off a couple of times.

Elisha arrived down at the beach now, I could see her from the water. I was getting much better now and more confident. Elisha swam out so she could have a turn. I balanced the board for her while she jumped up. She fell forwards and smashed herself, luckily she was OK. She was back up trying again in a flash, this time I didn't balance the board ...
