"Fifteen Euros" Fifteen Euros seems like a rip off for a space on the floor, but it's the cheapest offer I'm going to get here in Campodolcino, so I take it. Kind of feel like a refugee or something, laying out my sleeping bag while kids are still playing in the rec area... oh well. ... opt to set up my camera along the railing of the bridge and run down to pose with the guitar on a walkway along the river. Probably a foolish decision--as a somebody could bump the camera... and there'd go all the pictures and videos I've taken over the last couple of days... I continue on through the town, past a refurbished castle and an open area where you can gaze up at terraces and houses perched high up on the steep mountain slopes. This ...

Day 274 1 hr, 1 km With the steep, wooded mountainside to my left and a valley that is quickly narrowing to my right it's only a few hundred meters and I'm in the next town, Messe. I know that the uphill climb is getting close, including my big goal: to cross the Splugenpass from Italy to Switzerland on foot. I know it was just planted here for the warm months, but seeing a banana tree in someone's yard just feels really unappropriate. C'mon folks, this is the ...
