... while, we too headed back onto the camino and on the other side of the town we met a local farmer coming back into town with freshly picked strawberries. He stopped us and offered us to take some to eat now, no cost, just friendliness toward the pilgrims. They were the best strawberries I have tasted. Following a very good sleep, the sisters had a continental breakfast available for the visitors included in the nightly rent. Following breakfast we arranged for our laundry to be washed properly in a machine. We attended mass at the Leon Cathedral, proper name is the Cathedral de Santa Maria. Woohoo 20km to go and then a day off tomorrow. Wonderful walk mostly country road until the last 6km or so into Leon and then it's hard pavement into the city. Coming over the bridge down the hill we see the city of Leon ahead, the snow capped mountains further over and then we spy the cathedral knowing that's where we've got to get to.

The usual bird noises, the sun, fabulous storks, great company and a beautiful blue butterfly ...
