Had our breaky of egg, toast and tea/coffee and then headed out for a walk to the fish markets and port. Walked along the beach for a short way where this little boy ran over with his hand out asking for 'money' and then when we were walking up another Lakeway to the main road this little girl said 'lollies' and col told her we didn't have any and the next thing I know she had thrown a rock at me! Waiting on the station for half an hour, everyone was checking us out, seeing what we were all about. The train itself was really busy. It was set out like a tube train, but the doors stayed open, which sent a refreshing breeze through the carriage as we rolled slowly along the coast. We were still attracting plenty of attention, as we stood on ...

... this, thank you so much, it was a blast and I hope we can meet up again before I leave.

Up the next morning to another glorious looking day and I had taken the somewhat crazy notion that I was going to walk into the centre of town so I could get a look at the place. I had decided on walking Marine Drive as I knew the (parallel) Galle Road was manic not only for the traffic but also for the roadworks that are taking place there. It is like the Mile ...
