Sorry, Chetumal, I don't have time to see if you're any better than a basic border town for Belizean shoppers and gringos on their way to sexier Tulum and Playa del Carmen. But thanks for the bed.
After taking a cheap bus over the border and arrive at at the "city" of Corozal. It is a surprise as it's one of the larger places in Belize - and it is tiny - with hot streets of dusty dogs, and fishermen pedaling past on bikes. This truly is the Carribean. Were approached by friendly locals who ask us to pop in and play dominoes with them, and chinese men play Mahjong in the warehouse-like shops selling "Lee & Perrins" sauce and Heinz Beans.
