My timetable I wrote in Aus, before we left, was Offenberg to Brussels 11.30 to 17.35 - something went wrong!! In retrospect, I should have written more notes re the various trains and routes. Moules and Fritz, chocolate truffles, Belgian beer, waffles, formage corquettes and jambon crepes.Brussels is not well signed for tourists at all, many of the main tourist museums and shops don't even have a sign out the front! It's weird. The main square, Grote Markt is really nice, I love the cobblestones and laughing at all the Asian tourist's antics.

... fait 500 km le long du St-Laurent venant de Toronto. Maintenant faudrait encore trouver de quoi s'occuper entre Montevideo et Toronto.

After setting our starting point, we just needed to decide where to end our little hike. So, it's going to end in Montréal. The last part will be Toronto to Montréal 500 km along the St Lawrence Seaway.

... still blow me away. Very similar to Paris. The grand place was very nice with lots of people milling around. It is the spot for tourists here! I stopped for a bite to eat and my first Belgian beer! Not bad for a non beer drinker but couldn't come to Belgium and not have one! I stopped by to see the other famous Brussels sight - Mannekin Pis. He is really old (1600s) ...
