All the buildings were very impressive, with beautiful balconies and golden trimmings all around, and there as a massive Christmas tree standing in the middle and what looked like a nativity scene being set up at one end of the square.     ... Brugge was a beautiful town to visit, stunning architecture. The main attraction in the town is the Belfort Bell tower, we waited an hour to climb to the top and it was well worth it, 366 stairs lead up to where the bells are and they go off every 15 minutes so we got to see how they worked which was pretty fascinating.
