    ... It is claimed that the modern French fry was invented in Belgium), Belgian chocolate and Belgian beer. We visited the Grand Place, where the architecture spoke for itself, a small church, the famous statue of the peeing boy (Manneken Pis), and some random places around the city.

However, they were disappointed they had to pay extra for ketchup for thier french fries and there was no ice for their drinks. Grand Place was beautiful.     Tuesday morning Sage, Bryn, and I stayed home so that we could do homework (and so we'd be able to eat lunch with Joe). After lunch we set out for the Musee de Sciences Naturalles. We needed to take a metro train and a bus, and we were going to a part of the city that we'd never been to before. However, every other trip that I've taken with the kids has been basically problem free, so I was confident. (My first mistake.)

    ... fait 500 km le long du St-Laurent venant de Toronto. Maintenant faudrait encore trouver de quoi s'occuper entre Montevideo et Toronto.
