... inwards to land on my legs! #2 - Breakfast, Asian style :) With this being the first hostel not to provide meals of any sort, it was time for us to get back to basics and cook our own breakfast. No chance of cooking anything gourmet here either. Doing it asian style, Van and Carmen whipped up a huge pot of 2-minute noodles! Karen microwaved her nasi goreng rice in under 5 minutes. ... monument on the picture of it. From the monument we walked a short way to our hotel.

Our excursion tonight was a Swiss Dinner and folksong show. We had cheese fondue, a lovely veal scallions dish and ice cream for desert. The show was very entertaining with yodelling singing and the long alpenhorn .

We were back at our hotel at 10:00 ready for another day in Lucerne tomorrow.

Lucern is NOT as fun in the rain….

... confusion at the cash when the cashier picked up our bulk bag of spinach and said "Ticket? Ticket?" Apparently when buying produce, you have to weigh it yourself and print out a ticket, which wasn't easy to figure out as it was all in German! Even going to the grocery store can be a mini adventure!
