... The accommodation was I guess the typical Swiss chalet you would expect, lots of dark wood ceilings and furniture, certainly not my style, but a nice change and experience. The hotels, restaurants and shops are heated perfectly, so as soon as you walk in you want to stay rather than go back out into the cold, I don't think I would love this place in winter, but then I am sure the view of the mountains with snow would be worth it.

I am sometimes amazed at the quality of Tour Guides provided for Bus Tours. We are currently on a 52 seat coach and we have 45 people on the tour. Every time we get back on the bus, our Director counts 45 people before the driver can leave. I would have thought that it would have been easier to count the 7 empty seats. However, not apparently what one does when one is a Tour Director.

Instead of succumbing I found a chocolate factory tour where you can even make your own bar of chocolate. Sounds good!
Located Bev and we jumped in a taxi to the factory in a district called, ahem "Root". My goodness .... the pamphlet said two stops on the train but it turned out to be a 25min drive and rather costly to get there! Taxis are definitely not as affordable here as they are in ...
... in a wine sauce). The prices here in Switzerland are much higher than they were in Germany; this meal cost over CHF80, and would have cost half that price on the other side of the border.
So our first taste of the Swiss Alps was excellent! Hope we can come back later and spend more time here. Tomorrow, we are heading back north to the Rheinfall, then the Black Forest area, and we plan to stay in Baden-Baden overnight.
