    Finally - After a frantic train transfer and a 20 euro rip off in Milan, we are finally visiting Thomas and his family. It is so neat here. So peaceful, green, and scenic. Thomas has a lovely place with a magic view. He is busy building a new stock shed. Thomas celebrated his 30th birthday.     ... we are. We are here for 2 nights so washing has been done. Out to tea at a traditional Swiss restaurant which was lovely with lively entertainment. Back to hotel with a beautiful walk along the chapel bridge all lit up. Photo that I put up may not show it properly.     ... to our hotel which is absolutely beautiful. To our delight we had a room with a view right over Lake Lucerne. Tonight we decided not to do the optional tour dinner and instead walked into town for a lovely meal at a local restaurant. The service was great and we ate some interesting Swiss food, including asparagus soup and Swiss sausage. It is lovely to be having two nights here and catch our breath. ...

    ... all played around in it, got our selfies and group shots and then quickly shuffled into the cafe where not many people bought items due to the shock of prices. I went back out to play in the snow again for a bit with a few other people, because how many times can you say you played in the snow on the Swiss alps!?     ... countryside below. We also saw two hand gliders, which I took off from just below the peak, of which I took videos. Tom hiked up many stairs to take pictures from the top of the peak. On the other side of the mountain from the cogwheel train, we came down the mountain on a crowded 40 person tram on the upper half and four person gondolas on the lower half, which brought us down to the town of Lucerne.
