... up into the mountains. Everyone fired up! We hopped off the cable car - glanced around and decided we just had to have a group photo - it was that beautiful! We haven't had much in the way of blue skies and so we needed to take full advantage! And then we headed off on the path - up and down - gentle walking! Laurie, Colette, and I drove over to Canazei yesterday and spoke with a woman in the information booth. She had maps and lots of great ideas for us in terms of hiking in this area! We were psyched! Today, we decided to take the lifts up from Canazei and hike to this beautiful lake - Lago di ...

A travel blog entry by rolandandlinda on Sep 18, 2014

Time to leave Valle Verde. Decided to give Austria
another try as we are hearing that the weather has improved. However, with low
cloud this morning, there is little point in going over the high Dolomite
passes.

Decided to go north through Moena and then west over a lower
pass to Bolzano. As expected, the low cloud made for little viewing of the
mountain peaks.

Went north to Bressanone but stayed on a ...
