... finished at a Font Romeu over in France. It started in the main square in front of the monastery with the mayor making a little speech and wishing us well. The race began with a convoy through the town lead by a race car before the timing started at about the five kilometre mark. With many townsfolk lining the streets and waving us on and the sunshine on the racers multi coloured outfits and bikes, the atmosphere was special - ...

... ended at a leisure park on a mountaintop - tube slides, bouncing castles, MTB, horses, and more; crowds and not much hope of a camp. Coffee and down again. After the tour, set off toward Andorra, another country when you might say "Where?" Andorra is on the ...

    ... we are.

We stopped in Cardona, Spain the first night and stayed in what may be the most insanely palatable time warp experience to the middle ages that one can imagine. It was a Spanish parador. It was a bonafide castle. It had turrets. There was a tower where a fair maiden was imprisoned, and eventually murdered, by her brothers, for falling in love with a moorish jailer. There were swords and strongholds, and everything war related, and while Bethany did ...

What a funny random little day it was. Leaving Barcelona Golf Resort and Spa for Andorra, the small tax haven country between Spain and France, the scenery changed to large rocky mts, green valleys and turquoise coloured rivers. Only 25km into our drive we noticed from the windy road what looked like an amazing hotel perched into the rocks way way up above on the mountain. From afar we thought how cool it would be to visit. As we got closer we noticed a cable car and thought ...
