The hotel has recently had some rooms refurbished and we were upgraded into one of these rooms free of charge. The room itself is nicely decorated with an eco-friendly theme in mind. It uses refurbished piping as decor as well as recycled wood for the furniture. It has a big flat screen tv, a fridge, microwave and safe in the room and the bathroom has nice fixtures and fittings. The hotel offers a standard quality free breakfast and has a very small basic gym and pool. The location is close to downtown LA but is clearly in an underdeveloped area- the local firefighters even warned us about walking around at night (which we never did).

It then took us out to Hollywood where we got on a different bus for a tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Along the way we saw many famous sites like The Viper Room where River Phoenix OD'd, the bungalows outside the ...
... we quickly freshened up before catching the free hotel shuttle into nearby Westwood Village for a delicious pizza at 800 degrees. It had a fun studenty vibe since it was close to the university and the scrumptious pizzas were assembled in front of us.
We then headed back to the hotel where we shared a bottle of wine in the bar on the top floor, chatting through the plans for our upcoming road trip. Exciting! Just before we left an older lady tripped and fell down ...
... nazi regime between 1933 and 1945, at least then I'd have something to be worried about!!!! So over an hour later I've collected my bag, made my way to the shuttle and a further 1.5 hours later, I'm checked in to my hotel, I've ordered a ridiculous amount of dominoes for one (my leftovers of which the hotel are going to share with the homeless) and now my only concern is to try and stay awake as long as ...
