The hotel has recently had some rooms refurbished and we were upgraded into one of these rooms free of charge. The room itself is nicely decorated with an eco-friendly theme in mind. It uses refurbished piping as decor as well as recycled wood for the furniture. It has a big flat screen tv, a fridge, microwave and safe in the room and the bathroom has nice fixtures and fittings. The hotel offers a standard quality free breakfast and has a very small basic gym and pool. The location is close to downtown LA but is clearly in an underdeveloped area- the local firefighters even warned us about walking around at night (which we never did).

We arrived at the Hotel at around midnight after getting a metro from Union Station to downtown LA. This was surprisingly easy and the metro system itself is very similar to the tube in London but I'd imagine it is a lot simpler for tourists here. It's a one-off flat …

We started by getting some breakfast from the hotel again before heading towards the metro station to begin our journey. To get to Magic Mountain …

When we arrived back at the tour central we got straight onto another bus to Hollywood and the walk of Fame . Did you know that some people do not have a star including :George Clooneyand Clint eastwood.

we proceeded to Al Peblo, the first LA settlement, 11 Hispanic and 300 cattle started LA, not a bad breeding lot are they. The area is quite interesting, went up Alvera street, the oldest street in LA.

Al wouldn't take us to skid row, I don't think they like it. There is a lot of homeless people, they look quite scary so ...

Immediately you drive into the park it is obvious that everything is new and that no expense has been spared.
