Today we got up early, had breakfast at Isabel's house and were in Barão de Cocais for a workshop by 9am... a great bunch of teachers and we had a fun with them.
Tod gave a really nice talk, and we ended with a few activities.
The drive back was spectacular.
... a glass container in the freezer to cool it down. She put the glass container ontop of a frozen packet of meat and it slipped off, opened the freezer door and smashed on the floor :( Everyone was devastated, but we still managed to salvage a little bit of it and it was delicious. I just wished there was more.

I was obviously frustrated and pretty worried because my visa expires tomorrow, meaning that if I canīt get this situation sorted Iīll be an illegal as of Thursday... Brasil is one of the coutries I wouldnīt be too keen on getting locked up in. Turns out being illegal in Brasil isnīt actually too much of a big deal. You get a slap on the wrist and have to pay a fine, but if I can avoid it, Iīm not gonna be illegal here. ...
... and Portuguese. I'm learning Spanish and Portuguese, Daniel is learning Spanish, and Shany is learning English. It definitely made for an interesting day of communication.
I was hungry, so was Daniel, and with a Mexican food truck in the middle of the fair, we opted for tacos. What a terrible error that was. I waited about an hour, Dan waited at least half an hour longer. There were a lot of people there, I get that, but seriously. ...
... sat my down for baked fish and veggies. Ahh Brasil. After lunch, she insisted I watch some TV. My Portuguese really isnīt good enough to be having conversations yet, but I tried my best and we understood each other for about 30 minutes of me struggling to find words.
