After the statue was a short walk uphill to the Gothic Warwel Castle which had very similar architecture to the castles and structures seen during the earlier parts of the trip. ... a 5 minute walk to the highway; I was feeling confident. I crossed the highway to the northbound lane and found a spot with good visibility and plenty of room for cars to pull over. The weather is still not great today. It's funny how quickly the weather has turned, really makes you realise just how short the European summer is. Anyway, we drove only a short distance further into the mountains. The most adventurous thing I did today was take a walk to Lidl (my favourite supermarket) for this evenings dinner! The drive north was lovely though and still very quiet, which makes a nice change.
... the track (not the side the train was on) but Logan had to get out and move it. And also needless to say we did not stop in that town to go to the shop! After our detour, and stocked with wine and tobacco, we drove into the mountains and finally found an old camper stop that was no longer powered or used but was still there. Still raining.
... mile to kilometre conversion and lack of accounting for the North Sea crossing meant we were pipped to 1st by a team from Latvia, but we all know this was an awesome achievement! Any how now we start the drive home, today we intend to drive through Hungary and into Austria, for a change it looks like we will be driving in sunshine.
