After nearly 24hrs in transit, we arrived in Milano. Everyone was happy to finally arrive in Italy, but then came immigration. I swear we had to wait 30-40mins to get through immigration, one upside of waiting so long, the bags were ready to be picked up. After the large wait in line for immigration, we had to wait again, this time for another person who was flying in from England. Again another 30min plus wait in the bus. By this time my patience ...

... it was really nice to check into our hotel, The Grand Dino right on the shore of the lake in Baveno, freshen up and head out for dinner at a lovely little trattoria with our old friends, Michelle and Peter and some new ones we met on the tour. It turned out to be an interesting evening, heaps of laughter, food and wine that continued well into the night.
If you ever get to read this Peter and Michelle, all I can say is 'campaspe'.
