Tuscany in one day

We met our tour bus just before 8.30am at Santa Maria Novella train station. Our tour guide was a lovely Hungarian girl called Olivia. She spoke excellent English, as she studied languages at university. Our first stop of the day was the UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Siena. During the drive, Olivia told us a little about Siena, but we were …

Spellbound in San Gimignano

Today I visited a place so special it left me overwhelmed and spellbound. We had an early start this morning, with bags packed and out the door by 7.30am. We were heading to Spoleto for our next 2 nights. On our way we were stopping at San Gimignano and Siena. I hadn't been to either of these places before and I was looking forward to seeing the …

While I'm talking ...

... ever
seen – even better than Les Miserables in London. The singing was beautiful –
especially Carmen. The way they staged the story was exciting with something
happening all the time. It certainly was unforgettable. The dancing (Spanish) was also excellent. Didn’t get home to bed until 2 am – bit late for Craig and Lina but we enjoyed
every minute. Some days you never forget – this is one of them.
