... We found Manneken Pis - the famous statue here of a boy peeing!! It was smaller than we imagined at only 61cm (the boy that is!). We have been so lucky with the weather for the past few days as we have had temperatures around 20 degrees all day. It is 8.30pm here in Brussels, still light and 20 degrees. We are heading out for dinner somewhere at Grand Place then will head to bed in our cute little loft style room. Goodnight ...

... We made friends on the train, though, including Troy, a college guy from WashU who is also a rising junior, and this German woman whose name I cannot remember right now. Talking to them about our travels made the time lost on the train time well spent. By the time we actually got to Brussels it was around midnight, and we were both very tired. Luckily our airbnb room was just two blocks from the train station, so it was easy to find. The second we walked through ...

I don't know yet if I will use English or my own language, probably both...

why am I doing this? Why NOT is the question! Because I can, because I
want to, because I've always wanted to, because I live. It's not about
leaving home, it's about going (and coming back ...

... screen and mechanical projection, the theatre was quite different from the typical multiplex. And cheap at €5.

Leaving the cinema at 915pm, feeling peckish, after five minutes’ walking I saw a yellow 'M’ sticking out from the side of a building. Perfect. They may not do veggie-burgers in a European McDonald's but they do strawberry milkshakes and fries. And when I’m on holiday that’s alright by ...

Had a very lovely weekend with my friends. On Saturday we celebrated Kelly's birthday by going to a park in Ghent and having a picnic. We lucked out with the weather during our lunch. After we ate, Kelly got her presents. :) We all managed to get a bit sunburned. Then we started walking around the lake, stopping by a jungle gym and having some fun. ;) Our friend Evelien lives in Ghent so we stopped by her new place afterwards. It was really really nice! We stayed ...
