... the size as it is now. We did a little audio tour inside the cathedral, even though it got a little bit boring at times, it was interesting to listen and I am sure I have learnt quite a lot about the Sagrada Familia. But that wasn't all, we also got to go up a lift to the top of the cathedral to the viewing point as I said we did earlier on, there was a spectacular view of all of Barcelona. When we went back down we couldn't go on the lift ...

... such an inspirational man. Went to barcelonas beach area, water very clear but sand is like dirt, people everywhere, riding bikes, just strolling, running, volleyball, just out and about. We are so lucky in Australia that no smoking allowed where eating and within range. Here they couldn't care less about others, think because it is such dense population, walking on the street they just barge through. Something we won't miss in Spain and Portugal. Well back to pack and hopefully ...

I was only 2 minutes late but there was Miss J waiting patiently having negotiated her way through an unsuccessful shopping centre visit (bemoaning the lack of price tags though these ...

Two days of entires in on today. Lots of things to see and do in the last little while. We have made really good use of the metro in the last few days. We are really getting a hang of the transfers and train swaps. I even got to help put a few other tourists ho asked us a question. So yesterday it was off to the waterfront to check out the cafes next to the columbus monument. Fairly impressive and the coffee and little breakfast cakes covered in ...

... our purchases back at the apartment and had a rest for a while. Whe we got up we cracked the special bottle of wine we picked up on Pete's birthday and consumed it with some nice cheese , olives and chorizo. Pete christened the corkscrew of the Lagiole knife we got him on his birthday by opening the bottle. The wine was as good as we remembered. It is a fantastic 2008 Almerian Tempranillo from Bodegas Perfer. Just after 5pm we all walked over to Barceloneta , which is one of the ...
