    ... open. Now it is like a big craft market. All the buildings house little restaurants and shops. The shops are owned by artisans who make and sell their own wares.     ... although we had our reservations about how it felt as a space, it has great beauty. We realise how many mundane structures there are in our world, this is not one. Gaudi drew from nature, symbols, mathematics (spirals, leaf shapes etc) and there is an integrity about the whole structure. The light comes through modern strained glass in primary colours. Rather than me rabbit on, suffice to say, it was moving and inspiring.
