          ... cooked with bacon and onion sort of a thick soupy thing, then I had lamb and grilled vege and the girls fish. Steph and Laurence had lemon mousse for pudding but hazel and I could only manage coffee. Time for a walk and quite close to Sagrada Familia a Gaudi cathedral. An amazing architectural work but a lot of renovating so scaffolding, cranes etc. It has a lot of extras built on I think as there seemed to be quite different style and design and materials.           ... s noisy and pushy and busy. Then I found the main market hidden away off La Rambla - the main tourist street. The market was similar to the one in Valencia, but busier and dirtier.           ... to Valentines Day, celebrated on the 23rd April each year. George had to slay the dragon to rescue a princess. Gaudi's design included many aspect of this tale - the roof looked like dragon scales, etc. Gaudi's design won. After this success, he was commissioned to build a house for the Milla's. Unfortunately Mrs Milla was not impressed with this design when it was built and took him to court! Gaudi won the case and donated this money to charity. For tea tonight we ate seafood paella- ...
