We were spent after this and went home for a break and to search yelp for a nearby restaurant. We found La Pomarada tucked upstairs in a lovely old building with an interior courtyard and sky light just like all the Gaudi buildings. ... so didn't question the long metro journey. We came out and realised we were in the middle of nowhere. Slightly unsettling. We asked two separate passers by who were very rude and waved us away even though I asked IN SPANISH and we regretted guessing the muffled station name. ... we'd read about Barcelona banged on about pick pockets and scam merchants so we were a bit nervous on our first day out and quickly headed off again. The area around us didn't look that spectacular so we didn't actually get to the Torre Agbar but headed west along the Grand Via Corts Catalanes.
