Today was a bit of a spare day, due to Nara being a shorter trip than planned, so I decided to head to Okayama which is on the route towards my next hostels destination of Hiroshima. Similarly to Himeji, Okayama has a castle and a famous garden(one of the top 3 in all of Japan) so I spent the late morning and early afternoon pottering around these sights. Next time I will bring my camera and take pictures every day to see them change and become (even more) beautiful. At some point near the greenhouse you can't see the road for cars and other houses, so you'te completely surrounded by woods and fields, it feels so nice then. ...

Okayama

... castle you can go up 'till the 7th floor and then go down. They have some old stuff like samurai outfits and scrolls but unfortunately you're not allowed to take pictures of them. After the castle we went to the Korakuen, it's one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. At least that's what they say, since it was so hot we could only see a small part of it since we didn't want to be in the sun too much. Later we went to have something to eat and then the other girl decided ...
