A beautiful sunny morning greets us as we get our wake up call at 5.30 am. Showered, dressed, & breakfast & down to our coach for a 7.15am departure for our main stop on route to Zurich -Neuschwanstein castle. Lovely scenery on route with the Bavarian Alps in the backdrop. Arrived at the castle 9.15am. It was a little walk to the entrance but picturesque none the less. ...

... the only people at breakfast at our hotel, we ventured off to catch the train up to the top of the Gornergrat which provided amazing views of the Matterhorn. The weather was much better than when we arrived and we were treated to exceptional views of one of the most famous mountain peaks in the world, the Matterhorn. As we made our way up the side of the mountain Bree was continually checking our progress since the train tracks were at times perched right on the edge of ...

Left Germany and drove by the Black Forest on our way to Lucern Switzerland. Lunch on our own today, very expensive. Glass of Coke or a bottle of water was $6.50. Food wasn't as bad and tasted very good. After that a boat ride on lake Lucern. Then to the top of of the mountain on a cable car. On to hotel and dinner. BBQ chicken (not really BBQ) but tasty any ...
