In the morning we decided where we wanted to go, basically to the very bottom corner of Germany. Vlad sourced some accommodation and away we went from Balingen. We faced a four hour train journey, but it was booked first class, and did travel through the alps, so it passed pleasantly and quickly, and we were soon reunited with Peter, who had kindly offered to ...

Last week when I talked to my parents on Skype they were surprised to see me in a little summer dress and W in shorts. I assured them it was beautiful in Switzerland and they should pack for summer. It started raining hours before they arrived on Sunday and has continued to every day since. We have had some really nice, dry and warm afternoons, though not enough to make up for all the wetness.
