We walk through the wet streets, and observe the people.Sisi is all excited over a kilo of salmon for very little money.Back home we fry it, and eat until we can hold no more, then pack our gear and leave for the boat to Finland. The subway brings ...

Laeisz. Windjammers first appeared towards the end of the ...

... fest was really quite reasonable, at 33 Euros a head - we managed to snag such a spectacular Scandinavian deal since we were taking an overnight ferry to Helsinki. Theses cruises aren't much more than glorified booze cruises where passengers stuff themselves on food and cheap alcohol, while doing as much duty-free shopping as possible. While these night ferries between Stockholm and Helsinki are cheap and easy ...

We had rough seas overnight. But today was a beautiful day and not windy. We decided not to do a tour of Mariehamn, Åland Islands since we docked 1/2 mile from the town center and Steve wanted to stay off of his knee. Around 10:00 AM he decided to got with me and we walked into Mariehamn. The city is very beautiful and the Main Street was a wide boulevard lined by aspens. The town center is quite compact, ...
