So this day marks my sad departure from Peru. I'm sure the rest of my travels will also be an exciting adventure, but I have really enjoyed my time in Peru and met so many wonderful people that I am quite sad to end this leg of the trip.

I took a taxi to the airport and did something really stupid there. I went to take out some $$ at the airport, with the intention of keeping some and changing some to ...

It was only through the timely appearance of another couple who were doing the ride as well, and knew where they were going, that saved me from being shunned
by Megan for the rest of the trip (and possibly the ...

... give us whiskey and we shoot the **** in broken Spanish and broken English. After that we crossed a bridge and see a dead body strung up on the overpass. On closer inspection it's a human sized puppet/epigraph with white paint written across the chest. A warning, a political message? We looked at the body for way to long trying to work out if it was real or not. Shivers-up-the-spine. That night we got severely drunk and sang yellow by Coldplay twice in a row :) ...
