Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

We arrived back in town, had lunch, and went to find the synagogue in town. The building was open, so we went in, and found a lovey sanctuary and a little museum which gave the history of the family who started the synagogue. The museum was small, but very engaging and informative. Now the building is used for concerts.

... After the cathedral and the cloisters we wandered essentially aimlessly around the town stopping here and there. Probably the best was the local bakery where just about everything in the glass case looks amazing and is under one dollar. Pretty much anything you could ever want from a bakery we ended up with: some cold cheesy bread with bacon baked into it and Shana got a giant chocolate dipped donut. ... a beautiful day. We wiled away the afternoon reading our new books by the river and then headed to the town square for dinner with our busabout friends (Paul, Tom, Rachelle, Ben, Carol). We ate in a medieval cavern, ordering pork knuckles the size of our heads!!! :) life is sweet.
