Today we wandered around the Jewish quarter of Praha for a while, taking a bit more time to soak up what we saw the day before on our first day tour with Harriet. Steve then parted ways with Mandy and headed off to find the Military Museum, looking for a pink tank.

In 1991, when Steve was here last, a local artist called David Cerny had rebelliously painted a Soviet T34 tank bright pink, as a stark reminder to miltary commanders globally ...

... hotel, very good and surprisingly cheap: 28 euros for the three of us, or 768 Czech Korunas. We spent two days trying to remember how to say "Prosim" and "Dekuju", please and thank you, practicing in eateries and shops, to the amusement of the locals.

We spent most of Wednesday wandering the old town, shopping and eating and taking more photos.

Back to the hotel by 4:30 to catch the shuttle service which would take us to Salzburg.

... After the cathedral and the cloisters we wandered essentially aimlessly around the town stopping here and there. Probably the best was the local bakery where just about everything in the glass case looks amazing and is under one dollar. Pretty much anything you could ever want from a bakery we ended up with: some cold cheesy bread with bacon baked into it and Shana got a giant chocolate dipped donut. Mil and I had a while to wait for our bus so we went for a walk through the castle gardens where, as most of you know, I surprised her by proposing.
