... whatever they like, especially to tourists! This was annoying and unexpected, but we were eager to get to another part of the country and see the rainforest and vast Sumatran wildlife there.

And so, we headed towards Bukit Lawang, hoping that Northern Sumatra had more to offer us than McDonalds, English students and mediocre hotel rooms! But until then, I hope everyone is well and England is treating you all to good weather.

... tarp over top steps away from a small river. The river was nice to take a dip in, however, Breanne acquired a leech on the back of her heel moments after stepping into the water. ... day. Then we started going up and down hill. Well they were more like steep clay cliffs, and I was really struggling. But, our guides were great. One of them Yan called us mum and dad, as he was the same age as Jordan. He held my hand every time the going got tough, and told me where to put my feet and what to hold.
