... the way in. Nope.... I got routed way south on the way in, so no photos to be had. As I came around on final (the last minute before landing) I noticed there were three Airbuses queued up waiting for me - yikes.... But, given it is the last minute, and despite the quick thought occuring to me, I didn't reach for the camera...

... the fresh air I was shocked by the sheer freezing temperature. I had wondered why the others had been layering up in the car, putting on thick proper winter coats with hats and gloves. Now admittedly we had been told it would be cold but seriously no one prepared us for that. We could see our breath! That's not cool when all we were wearing was leggings and thin cardigans. The owner of this coffee shop is 95-year-old woman who still hand grinds the coffee beans each day in a mortar and pestle. She is the oldest person in this particular village so locals gather in the evenings to talk and gossip with her, as you do in ...

... roaming around preying and meditating. A few boys were even bathing in the confines of a holy fountain, whose water is meant to be the 5th freshest in the world. It was quiet a sight and one that was enjoyed for a while as we waited for the rain to ease when it had started to pour.

The hike back was easier as it was on a main road and the old body appreciated this. Dinner and the rest that quietly came afterwards too were appreciated. ...

From my position outside I could still look into the mosque and see the people bowing down on the floor, praying to Allah. There were also 3 basketball courts outside the mosque, much to my surprise.

After bidding farewell to Felix and Chay I flew on to Lombok, my next destination.
