A few minutes later, he returned to his position at the stern of Milena, telling the now very boisterous crowd to shut up. By 4:30a.m., the noise dwindled town, just as the sun was coming up. Lol We take lots of pictures and enjoy the beautiful scenery. 1.5 hours later, we are back at the port and before boarding the ship, we get our daily dose of gelato! This time I order the pistachio, and my mom gets the nocciola (hazelnut, pronounced nochola). She usually shares one with my dad to keep sugar calories down. I on the other hand, like to have one all ...

... hydrofoil. The one negative about hydrofoils is due to the high speed you have to sit inside, no walking around on the deck like you can do on a larger ferry. I get so claustrophobic that I just have to be sure to sit by a window and focus on the horizon outside. Breath breath breath. I so hate being way down in the belly of these vessels. But we survived and made it to Lipari Island by 4:00 and we had nice sunshine to last us a few more hours. We did our usual grocery shopping ...
