... Nang for our last night in Thailand. I would never see that bike again, other than in pictures. Hard to explain the feeling. I hated it for throwing me headlong against the road, yet at the same time, I knew I was going to miss it, almost like a friend, with who I’ve lived some of the most personal and crazy adventures in Southeast Asia. Whatever, **** materialism I thought!

... some strange ideas about piles...

We decided to have a go at making it to Langkawi Island. There's a car-ferry but it took us ages to find it and it didn't really look like we'd make it back in time for James' and Ivy's plane in the morning so we contented ourselves with checking out the neighbouring state of Kedar. Much more Muslim than the Chinese majority state of Pinang.

Since i have been study in Kedah before, i have experienced travel to Kedah by road, rail and air. The cheapest way to travel north is when you take the bus and i enjoyed myself riding express bus because the bus sometimes stop by at different towns to drop or take passengers. If you wish to take a bus to Kedah from Kuala Lumpur, proceed to Jalan Duta ...
